Remark:
You should have attended CSC's programme 'Data Analytics – Basic Principles and Applications' (CRDDA10/CRDDAVL), or are familiar with basic data analytics. You should also be comfortable with performing programming tasks during the course.
Online learning will also take place on LEARN. There will be an additional fee of $130.80 (including 9% GST) for the annual subscription if you do not have a LEARN account. Do note that CSC will not prorate the cost of the annual subscription of LEARN.
As part of the mandatory pre-programme work for this programme, you will need to complete the following 5 Data Literacy e-Primers on LEARN:

Who Should Attend:
You are a Singapore Public Officer keen to adopt a data-driven approach to improving policy decisions and operations as well as to understand what is involved in starting a typical data science project.
Programme Overview
Have you been tasked to use data to solve a work-related problem but have no idea how to get started, where to collect data or how to analyse the data and present your insights?
Through this 3-day crash course* in Data Science for non-technical professionals, you will gain a fundamental understanding of various Data Science techniques by preparing and analysing multiple datasets using Python and performing actual data visualisation using Tableau. You will also improve your overall data literacy, and be guided through the entire Data Science process, from scoping a problem and data preparation to analysis and presentation of findings.
*This programme is suitable for officers who have a background in data analysis and statistics.
