This programme comprises two days of virtual classroom sessions conducted over Zoom. You will need to have an personal internet-enabled PC/ laptop with the following software installed in order to be able to attend the course:
- Zoom desktop app
- Microsoft Excel 2016 or newer
- Tableau Desktop or Tableau Public
- Internet access required for map functionality
Who Should Attend:
You are a Singapore Public officer who is responsible for producing or communicating statistics to your stakeholders and are keen to learn more about presenting data and providing recommendations in an engaging and dynamic manner to stakeholders using interactive visualisation and dashboards.
Programme Fees and Grants
PSD will subsidise $396.00 of the total programme fee before GST. The grant is valid from 01 Apr 2025 to 31 Mar 2026. Please note that you need to complete the programme in order to qualify for the grant.
Programme Overview
Data has the power to influence and bring about meaningful change, but to enact change, it is not enough to just explain your analysis and support it with data. It needs to be communicated effectively, in the form of a meaningful story that resonates with your audience. This is where visualisation plays a big role.
In this virtual classroom programme*, you will learn how to appreciate the power of visualising data and how to craft meaningful visualisations that communicate your message more effectively. Through hands-on activities using Tableau, and group discussions, discover how to present your data with impact to bring about meaningful change.
*This is a foundational programme on data visualisation using Tableau, suitable for officers who wish to get an appreciation of data visualisation.
