Programme Overview
This is an Advanced programme that builds on the Basic Systems Thinking Using 3QueST™ workshop. You would have been familiar with The 3 Questions That Systems Thinkers Ask (3QueST™) and the basic tools shared in the Basic programme.
In this advanced programme, we will explore more advanced strategies. Previously, you have learnt some basic tools to anticipate and deal with unintended consequences. In this programme, you will learn how to recognise the following 4 common types of unintended consequences and explore the corresponding strategies to deal with each.
- Fixes That Fail
- Shifting The Burden
- Eroding Goals
- Escalation
You will also learn that a period of sustained success can lead to new challenges, layering on what you have learnt about Success Loops previously. Following are some archetypes that reflect the kinds of challenges we face today even as our economy grows! We will discuss strategies to address these kinds of challenges.
- Limits To Growth
- Tragedy Of The Commons
- Success To The Successful
Learning Methodology: The format of the Advanced course is similar to that of the introductory course. It is a blend of videos and Zoom sessions.
