Programme Overview
The case study is a powerful tool to engage readers by situating them in real and complex events. It may be a simple scenario about policy rationales, or a multi-dimensional narrative about conflicts and dilemmas in policymaking, the case study is a trove of knowledge and insights. Whether you are writing it for yourself or your organisation, storytelling with words is a life skill and you can apply these techniques in other areas of your work.
Anyone can write a case study. This 5-week course is designed for first-time case writers who are keen to use case studies for communications, training and knowledge-capture. It will introduce you to the components of a case study and give you the skills to write a simple narrative effectively. Most of all, you will learn to write case studies by writing one yourself, with coaching from a case writing expert. So, bring along your own case study idea to make this course your own!

The 5 e-learning lessons will take you approximately 2 hours to complete in total, at your own pace over 5 weeks. At the end of the 4th and the 5th lessons, there will be coaching sessions with facilitators over skype or email.
