You are a supervisor/reporting officer in the Singapore Public Service who manages one or more officers.

Programme Overview

As a supervisor, you play an important role in facilitating and partnering your officers in managing their careers. In this programme, you will gain practical knowledge and skills to guide your officers in developing their careers and help them achieve their career aspirations while also aligning with organisation goals. Each participant will also be provided a 1 hour session of 1-1 coaching session with a career coach, to help catalyse your role to manage careers.

Yip Ghenglai

Ghenglai is a seasoned facilitator and coach, possessing strategic HR experience in the public and private sectors, with a strong business acumen. Through her work, she has gained extensive experience with all levels of employees in the public sector, and in managing leadership and employees across Asia Pacific in her private sector roles. This has given her an edge to provide contextualised learning for the public sector through her private sector experiences and best practices.

Her key areas of expertise are in talent management, leadership development and career management. She also has experience facilitating workshops for employees of different levels, across industries ranging from aerospace, education, to tech and government.

Dr Moira Lee

Moira has over four decades of leadership experience in non-profit organisations and the Singapore Public Service. Her areas of specialisation include designing and facilitating professional development programmes, mentoring and coaching. As an Associate Lecturer at the National Institute of Education and the Singapore University of Social Sciences, she is involved with the Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Master in Adult Learning, and Master in Boundary-Crossing Learning and Leadership. For her contribution as Director of the Learning Academy at Temasek Polytechnic, Moira was awarded the Public Administration Silver Medal in 2014.

Moira is also a Registered Corporate Coach with the World Association of Business Coaches. She volunteers as a Singapore Public Service Career Coach and serves as an Executive Coach with Civil Service College. In her various roles as facilitator and coach, Moira seeks to embrace the concept of servant leadership – that the growth and development of people is of highest priority. She has been described by participants as “engaging and encouraging; passionate and inspiring; articulate and authentic, with a caring and generous heart”.
