This programme is for officers who have had some experience with Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA). It will delve into the applications and challenges of CBA in practice. Through hands-on exercises and real-world case studies, you will learn how CBA is applied to policy and decision-making processes.

Chia Wai Mun
Professor Chia Wai Mun is Associate Professor of Economics at the School of Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University. Her research covers topics in International Macroeconomics and Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA). She is an associate editor to the Singapore Economic Review. She is also the Treasurer of the Economic Society of Singapore and Singapore Economic Review since 2017. In 2011, she was awarded the National Day Commendation Award for her contributions in teaching and research. She holds a PhD from Nanyang Technological University, a MSc from London School of Economics and a BSc from University of London, all in economics.
Professor Chia was also a CBA consultant to various government agencies including National Environment Agency (NEA), Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), Singapore Policy Force (SPF), Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and Land Transport Authority (LTA).
