
Michael Alan Netzley
Michael is the Founder and CEO of Extend My Runway Pte Ltd (EMR) – An AI-for-good start-up that is the world’s first AI coach using digital nudging to unlock your full cognitive potential – at any age. Michael also serves as Affiliated Faculty and Executive Coach with IMD Business School in Singapore. Previously he spent 15 years on the faculty of Singapore Management University (SMU) teaching communication and corporate reputation. In 2006 he launched the first social media class in all of Asia, called Digital Media Across Asia, and was recognized for his efforts with the 2011 Champion’s Award for Innovative Course Design and Teaching. Later he received the 2015 Best Case Award in entrepreneurship from EFMD, and 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year award from APAC Entrepreneur magazine. Michael has taught digital media with Civil Service College since 2010. His communication career began as an on-air radio personality.
Michael has consulted with EY’s People Advisory Services and Heidrick Leadership. He is a certified neutral (mediator), a member of the Mural Design Consultant’s Network, certified design thinking facilitator, and a graduate of the Programme on Case Method and Participant-Centered Learning (PCMPCL) at Harvard Business School. Michael has worked with more than 15,000 executives from firms such as: Infineon Technologies, BNP Paribas, UBS, Julius Baer, Bank Negara Malaysia, Bank Mandiri, Credit Suisse, MSIG, Swiss Re, AIA, Unilever, IBM, Samsung, Merck KGaA, Unilab, Singapore Airlines, SingHealth, SP Group, and numerous governmental organizations. He has also lived globally in Argentina, Finland, Germany, Japan, Slovenia and Singapore. Michael’s work has been featured in the New York Times, MIT’s Technology Review, Dialogue Review, and editorials appearing at Channel News Asia and Straits Times.He has also co-authored several books about business communication.
