Programme Overview
Organisations have started harnessing the power of their big data using modern technology like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, across sectors and job functions, e.g. Policy, Operations, HR, Finance or Procurement. This has led to better insights and productivity for the organisation. Take data science to the next level and learn the common machine learning techniques which may be used to help solve your agency’s business problems.
Through this programme, you will learn fundamental principles and techniques of machine learning. You will learn how to solve business problems using CRISP-framework by going through the entire cycle of modelling and testing for different use cases. You will understand how machine learning techniques can be used to predict behaviour, anticipate events, segment customers and even find outliers in your datasets.
You will also learn more about big data, and view demos of AI applications, such as text analytics, and have the opportunity to reflect on the ethical issues and dangers of misusing the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

yourself with the different stages of the CRISP-DM framework

are the types of classification algorithms (Decision tree, k-NN)

- Try hands-on with Rapidminer (Classification)
Day 2
- Recap and
Summary of Day 1
Regression & Clustering
- Get to know what
multiple linear regression is and discover how it works on Excel and
Rapidminer
- Progress to the
next machine learning technique – Clustering and understand more on its
applications and the algorithm (k-means)
Hands-on Time!
- Try hands-on with
Rapidminer (Regression & Clustering)
- Also discover
how anomaly Detection can be done using Rapidminer!
Day 3
- Recap
and Summaries of Day 1 & 2
Association technique
- Continue
your learning journey in this course, with Association techniques and try
the hands-on!
Neural Nets and Deep
Learning
- Unravel
the mystery behind neural nets and deep learning & gain a better
understanding of how they work!
- Get first-hand experience on how text analytics works (using Rapidminer)
Group Case study time!
- Put
your skills into practice now by working in groups on a case study and get
ready to present and shareback!
Big Data Analytics
- Learn
more about Big Data analytics and why it is making big waves in this
