Who Should Attend:
You are a Singapore Public officer who is adept at analysing data and finding solutions, but struggle with conveying your data-driven insights and proposed solutions to decision makers. This programme will equip you with the right skills and tools to address gaps in the final mile of value in analytics. Officers with experience in data visualisation/data analysis and/or having an interest in data storytelling would find this programme useful.
Programme Overview
“Data are just summaries of thousands of stories – tell a few of those stories to make the data meaningful.” Dan Heath, Duke University Fellow
While there is ample supply of hard skills and capabilities in many analytics functions, the softer skills of contextualisation and storytelling are in much shorter supply. Data storytelling - specifically how to tell a concise, coherent, and compelling story from the data to drive decisions and actions- is probably one of the most overlooked and undervalued aspects along the analytics value chain, critical in delivering the “last mile” of value.
