Asrin Bin Abas
Asrin started his career with the Singapore Police Force in 1993 and had acquired vast experience in interviewing people from all walks of life both as an uniformed officer and an investigator. In 1999, he joined the Internal Security Department where he contributed significantly in the operations against the Jemaah Islamiyah terrorist network. His excellent interpersonal skills had achieved 2 objectives simultaneously - to gather vital information pertaining to the other members and operational matters of the network and rehabilitation of the detainee to return to society. He was awarded Operational Excellence by the Minister of Home Affairs.
