You are looking to use Agile Scrum methodologies to manage projects and/or to develop a product, service or solution.
This programme provides you with the opportunity to pull together a 4-7 member team with expertise and voices your project needs, to give the team hands-on experience in applying Agile to actual work across a 10-day sprint.
This programme is suitable for technical and non-IT related projects and it is a requirement to sign up as a team of 4-7 public officers.
Programme Overview
The recent spate of global events has brought about much uncertainty to the workplace and project management teams in the public sector have faced much challenges and are forced to quickly adapt and improvise on projects that they have been managing.
With flexibility and prioritisation becoming key features of project management, agile methodologies may be the solution to help public officers manage both the requirements of the organisation and customers.
This programme provides a sandbox for you to build a cross-functional team to manage projects and achieve outcomes with Agile Scrum methodology and principles. Although frequently associated with IT and software development, Agile principles and mindset can be applied in any context.

- Undertake respective responsibilities of core and/or non-core roles in your team
- Identify your team's Scrum maturity and the next steps for effective implementation of Scrum

Day 1
- Agile Manifesto and Key Principles
- Teams will better understand the Agile methodology and concepts
Day 2
- Prioritised Product Backlog
- Teams will develop their prioritised product backlog and plan for their first sprint. There is application/ practice of scrum methodology with trainers' guidance and coach
1 week break
- Back at work tasks
- Teams will work on their sprint backlog and plan back at work.
Day 3
- Sprint Review and Retrospective
- Teams will demonstrate the work they completed over the past week, and review the lessons they have learned about Agile method. In the 2nd half of the day, teams will work on Agile simulation, where all teams will work on the same problem statement provided by Stephen - e.g. Create Singapore Digital Magazine in 3 sets of 7 min sprints.
